Activities Coordinator: Landmark at Longwood, Boston, MA

Landmark Senior Living Communities seeks a high-energy professional to fill the role of Activities Coordinator at its Longwood location. Responsibilities:

Dementia Care Coordinator: Landmark at Longwood, Boston, MA

Seeking an Assisted Living Professional to fill the role of Dementia Care Coordinator for a 20 bed secure unit.

Responsibilities:

The job will be to take the lead in program development and marketing, as well as stay on and manage a 20 bed secure floor within an existing fully occupied assisted living facility. The Dementia Care Program Coordinator will report to the facility's Executive Director, as well as coordinating corporate management personnel. Experience in initial lease-up, design and operations functions extremely beneficial. Responsibilities beyond program development may include networking for lead generation and tracking through community outreach, as well as effective management of the program's operation. Must be able to self-motivate and enjoy a challenging environment. Most of all, a strong team player is needed who possesses excellent communication skills, and will enjoy fostering a residential living atmosphere beneficial to the elders suffering from early stages of dementia. This is a full-time position with some weekend work. Computer skills required.

Qualifications:

An ideal candidate is someone who possesses extensive Experience and Training in developing programs and caring for elderly suffering from dementia/Alzheimer's disease, a strong business and marketing savvy, and existing contacts/networking experience in the market area. Looking for a proven professional, however will consider a strongly motivated individual in the field desiring to pursue greater responsibilities.

We are looking for a Business Manager to join our team at Prospect House in Revere, MA. The primary job function of the Business Manager is to maintain responsibility for all business office functions.

The primary responsibilities of this role are to supervise and direct reception staff, maintain employee files, and ADP processing. The Business Manager must assist as needed with each step of the admission process, including paperwork and meeting with family members, maintain residents records, GAFC billing, and must comply and understand all tax credit preparation and recertification process. Vice President, Finance: Rogerson Communities, Rogerson, MA

The Vice President, Finance (CFO) directs all financial activities of Rogerson Communities. This individual is an active member of the corporate management senior team and is responsible for the development and implementation of short and long-term strategic planning with that group.

Top level corporate strategies and their communication to auditors and the Board of Directors is the responsibility of the VP, Finance.

Responsibilities:

The VP, Finance is ultimately responsible for profit analysis, compliance issues and interfacing with government agencies. All indirect expenses are budgeted and monitored by the VP, Finance. Monthly coordination meetings on spending are required with the Directors who oversee the Property/Program Managers. The VP, Finance must have attention to detail and a full understanding of various agency and Medicaid reimbursement rates to successfully complete the duties of this position.

The VP, Finance supports the President/CEO in implementing practices that will ensure continuous business improvements and ensure the accurate documentation of those processes. The VP, Finance is responsible for keeping the President/CEO and senior management team apprised of all significant financial developments. This individual also performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein as defined by the President/CEO.

Director of Resident Care: Cohen Florence Levine Estates, Chelsea, MA

Cohen-Florence-Levine Estates and the Florence and Chafetz Home for Specialized Care are in need of a Director of Resident Care. Our residences in Chelsea, Massachusetts, consist of 69 traditional assisted living apartments in our traditional assisted living estate and 36 units in our specialized care facility, 105 in total. The Director of Resident Care supervises and maintains a small staff of both Home Health Aides and nurses in order to provide a high quality of services that is consistent with the philosophy of Assisted Living. In the area of staff management, the Director of Resident Care is obligated to prepare weekly home health aide and nursing schedules, perform routine staff evaluations, develop in-service training for all employees, and both hire and direct the orientation of new Home Health Aides as required. The Director of Resident Care must also oversee and monitor the completion of all necessary resident clinical paperwork, including pre-occupancy screenings , service plans, and move-outs. The position requires that candidates are organized, well-spoken, and able to communicate effectively. Communicates regularly with the families of Generations residents, on both a routine schedule, as well as when special circumstances arise.

Provides resources for the special interests of residents, whenever possible, as well as materials for independent activity.

Surveys customers periodically for input on programs and goals.

Establishes and maintains an effective dementia/memory impairment orientation and in servicing program so that all staff of the community are proficient in appropriately reacting to the needs of residents with memory impairment. Participates in training, supervising, evaluating and scheduling Generations staff and volunteers via daily assignment sheets. Also maintains adequate records on these matters and complies with government standards for documentation.

Participates in preparing the annual budget for the Generations Program.

Stays within budget guidelines on a monthly basis. Minimizes extra hours and employs overtime only with the permission of the executive director.

Concerns him/herself with the safety of all Community residents in order to minimize the potential for fire and accidents. Also ensures that the program adheres to the legal, safety, health, fire and sanitation codes by being familiar with his/her role in carrying out all EOEA regulations fro a special care unit, including fire, safety, and disaster plans and current MSDS.

Puts residents' service first. Ensures that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in caring and compassionate atmosphere and recognizes individuals' needs and rights.

Performs all other duties as requested.

Qualifications:

A minimum of college school degree or equivalent is required for this position.

Must be qualified by experience and training to develop programs appropriate for memory impaired elders and disabled individuals.

Must be able to read, write, and understand the English language.

  • Respond to resident needs and requests.
  • Develop and maintain a variety of logs documenting all work performed internally by department staff or outside vendors.
  • Develop and maintain a written preventive maintenance procedure quarterly to review with Executive Director.
  • Implement a preventive maintenance plan accordance with company policy and manufacturer instructions.
  • Develop and maintain an emergency disaster plan. Assist in training all department heads and staff in emergency procedures relevant to their area of responsibility.
  • Develop and maintain procedures to test and inspect emergency generators, fire suppression systems and fire alarms monthly. Provide reports to Executive Director.
  • Maintain an up-to-date file, which is easily accessible, containing all operating and service manuals and warranty information, for both major and minor equipment; insurance certificates and service and construction contracts for ease of accessibility.
  • Review all service contracts annually, secure and maintain two competitive bids on file.
  • Manage the Department in accordance with the policies and procedures of the building and federal, state and local rules, codes and regulations.
  • Assist with the operation and full functioning of the PERS system, including training new Directors.
  • Respond to any emergency calls 24 hours per day.
  • All other duties as required and consistent with the education and skills required for this position.
  • All requests deemed appropriate by the Executive Director.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent certificate preferred.
  • Additional training in management, preventative maintenance, equipment repair or similar areas are highly desirable.

Director of Nursing: Hebrew Rehabilitation Center, Dedham, MA

This key position is responsible for directing, administering and monitoring Assisted Living's wellness program. Specifically this position directs health, nutrition and dietary needs, activities of daily living, medication supervision, and assessing safety concerns for the assisted living members.

Responsibilities:

Responsible to evaluate, train and supervise direct care staff in activities of daily living, hygiene, nutrition, and infection control and medication administration. Will serve as liaison to families, physicians, nurse practitioners, health care agencies, emergency response teams and hospitals and rehab facilities. Directly works on the floor providing supervision and direction to all licensed and certified nursing staff.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
  • B7BSN required, Advanced degree in health services preferred.
  • At least 3 years experience supervising C.N.A.'s or Home Health Aides and other nursing staff required. At least 3 years experience directing and monitoring Assisted Living and nursing programs with geriatric/dementia populations required.
  • Excellent organizational skills and demonstration of strong clinical assessment skills
  • Excellent computer skills required
  • Knowledge of community support services required
