Publications Designed to Help you Navigate the Assisted Living Industry

Mass-ALFA serves to educate our members and the general public about the philosophy of assisted living through a comprehensive, statewide guide to assisted living: Assisted Living in Massachusetts - Resource Guide and Consumer Guide. These publciations are free to both Mass-ALFA members as well as the general public.

• The Resource Guide is a user-friendly list of Massachusetts assisted living residences in alphabetical order. The guide includes frequently asked questions as well as the consumer checklist. The back section of the guide contains a glossary of terms and all Mass-ALFA members listed by profession and alphabetically. To order a copy of this guide, please complete the Resource Guide Request Form.

• The Consumer Guide was created to help individuals and families considering assisted living, including for those with memory loss, dementia or Alzheimer’s disease. This guide includes general advice for selecting an assisted living residence as well as information about Alzheimer's diesease, memory loss and dementia, and provides resources to help you as your search for an assisted living residence progresses.
