This CD is designed to educate assisted living staff about the impact of grief and loss on themselves and those they care for. By understanding how grief and loss affects caregivers and learning strategies to deal with these effects, participants will be better equipped to handle situations involving the death of a resident. They will then be more able to prevent and/or cope with the stress and burnout that often result from grief and loss and thus provide more consistent and attentive care. They will also learn strategies which can help both themselves and their residents recognize and honor losses.

•    List three coping strategies
